Imsight Technology Raises ￥10M in a New Round of Financing

According to VCBeat, Imsight Technology ("Imsight") has closed a new funding round of tens of millions yuan with participation from a well-known multinational industrial group, and existing investors Lenovo Capital & Incubator Group and China Merchants Venture.

Imsight is an innovative company using artificial intelligence (AI) to aid diagnosis. Based on artificial intelligence deep learning and computer medical image analysis technology, the company has developed a series of fast and accurate intelligent medical imaging products, mainly involves pathology, radiology, radiotherapy, and other areas. Its series perform an in-depth analysis of big data in medical images, acting as a fast and accurate auxiliary tool, and thereby improving the accuracy and efficiency of clinical diagnosis and treatment. 

Imsight has branches in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Chengdu, and Guiyang. Its markets are widely distributed across China. Till June 2018, the company has successively completed the Series A funding with hundreds of millions yuan from China Merchants Venture, Shenzhen Capital Group, and Lenovo Capital & Incubator Group.

Since its establishment, Imsight has been deeply engaged in pathology and radiology. The company is committed to the R&D, production, and marketing of AI-based medical imaging tools. Its main products include AI-assisted medical imaging system of liquid-based cytology for cervical cells, chest CT scan (including three modules of lung nodules, fractured ribs, and pneumonia), and chest DR scan (including 19 kinds of common symptoms such as pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, nodules, emphysema, and others), with performance and function reaching the leading level. 

Founded in 2016, LCIG is an accelerator and venture capital firm as a subsidiary of Lenovo. The company focuses on future-oriented investment in the technology industry, including IoT, edge computing, cloud, big data, artificial intelligence, vertical industry, and consumption upgrading.

Founded in November 2015, China Merchants Venture is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Merchants Group. Headquartered in Shenzhen, the company has representative offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Israel, and Silicon Valley.

The initial fund under the management of China Merchants Venture is equivalent to 5 billion yuan, mainly investing in early-stage and growing-stage VC funds and projects at home and abroad, in the field of finance, real estate, logistics, and transportation, as well as the technological area such as big health, consumption upgrading and artificial intelligence.
