The 2026 CSGCT Annual Meeting will see the first simultaneous appearance of core representatives from nine major global CGT organizations, who will engage in in–depth discussions on global regulatory trends, cutting–edge technological breakthroughs, clinical translation pathways, and international cooperation within the industry.

This is not merely an industry event featuring an upgraded international lineup—it also signifies that China’s CGT sector is becoming increasingly integrated into the global innovation network。Following international conferences such as ESGCT and ASGCT, 2026 CSGCT will become an important “Chinese station” in the global CGT exchange landscape, linking innovative forces around the world to jointly explore the next phase of the cell and gene therapy industry.

When CGT enters a new stage of global competition

China needs a platform to connect with the world.

In recent years, cell and gene therapy has emerged as one of the most promising areas of development within the field of life sciences worldwide. From the commercialization of CAR–T therapy to ongoing breakthroughs in gene editing technology；From research into gene therapy for rare diseases to the rapid development of next–generation cell therapy platforms, CGT is helping to push the life sciences and health industry into a new period of innovation.

But at the same time, the industry faces new challenges:

• How to navigate global regulatory trends?

• How to achieve the large-scale production and commercial application of technological achievements?

From mature markets to emerging markets, from scientific research innovation to industrial transformation, the important voices on the global CGT map will be presented in CSGCT for the first time.

As one of the largest gene and cell therapy professional organizations in the world, ASGCT has long promoted scientific research, clinical translation and global collaboration in the field of gene therapy.

Professor Barry J. Byrne has a long history of research in Keene therapy and rare diseases and is a key international expert in the field of Keene therapy.

As President of ASGCT, he not only represents the cutting-edge direction of the U.S. cell and gene therapy industry but will also contribute key insights on global regulatory trends, the translation of innovative technologies, and industry collaboration.

His arrival signifies that a key voice from one of the world's most mature CGT markets will directly contribute to the development of China's CGT ecosystem.

Professor Yoshikazu Yonemitsu is a key figure in advancing gene and cell therapy in Japan.

He received his Doctor of Medicine from Kyushu University and worked as a Wellcome Trust researcher at Imperial College of Science and Technology in London to conduct research on Gene therapy.

Over the past two decades, Professor Yonemitsu has continued to promote the translation of basic research to clinical applications, and has extensive experience in the fields of gene therapy, cell therapy, cancer free therapy and regenerative medicine.

As the president of JSGCT, he has actively promoted the development of Japan's CGT industry and international exchanges.

The company’s leading developed allogeneic NK–like cell therapy product, GAIA–102, is currently undergoing clinical research for conditions such as pediatric solid tumors and peritoneal metastases from gastric cancer and pancreatic cancer.

During his visit to CSGCT, he will share Japan's experiences in the industrialization of advanced therapies, clinical translation, and international collaboration.

Miguel Forte is a leading figure in the global cell and gene therapy industry.

He has served as President of the ISCT and currently serves on the ISCT Board of Directors, as well as Chair of the European Advisory Committee of the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM).

As a cell and gene therapy developer, he founded and led several innovative companies and has extensive experience in commercializing CGT, regulatory systems and industrial strategy.

In addition, he has regulatory work with the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and has global management experience in large pharmaceutical companies.

Miguel Forte, who has a doctor of medicine and a doctor of non-epidemic medicine, has a profound accumulation in the three dimensions of scientific research, supervision and industry.

His participation will provide important reference for Chinese enterprises exploring global markets and promoting international cooperation.

Dr. Martin Bonamino is an important representative in the field of CGT in Brazil.

He holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a PhD in Medical Chemistry, and has conducted research at institutions such as the Mario Negri Institute in Italy.

Currently, he is responsible for the Cell and Gene Therapy Program at the National Cancer Institute in Brazil and is president of the Brazilian Society for Cell and Gene Therapies.

Previously, he served as Chair of the ASGCT Global Cooperation Committee and was responsible for the ISCT South and Central America Regional Regulatory Affairs.

He has long promoted the development of CAR-T and advanced therapeutic technologies in Brazil.

At the CSGCT, he will share the current state of the development of advanced therapies in Brazil and the important exploration of the National Cancer Institute in the field of CAR-T.

Associate Professor Samantha Ginn is a leading scientist in the field of Keine therapy in Australia.

She has held a long–term position at the Institute of Pediatric Medicine （ CMRI ）。I am part of a gene therapy research team and also hold a research position at the School of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney.

Over the past 20 years, she has focused on gene delivery systems, AAV vectors, lipid nanoparticles, and gene editing technologies.

Her research focuses on the treatment of genetic disorders in children, including metabolic liver disease, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and neurofibromatosis.

As President of the Australian Society for Gene Cell Therapy, she will share CGT research innovation, clinical transformation and industry trends in Australia and New Zealand at CSGCT.

Dr. Arkasubhra Ghosh is a key driver in the field of cell and gene therapy in India.

As one of the world's fast-growing CGT emerging markets, India has made breakthroughs in the research and development of CAR-T, Keine therapy and clinical application in recent years.

Dr. Ghosh will represent India's CGT ecosystem, engaging with Chinese counterparts to discuss market development, innovative models, and future collaboration opportunities in India.
