Abbott launches nutritional brand for GLP-1 users

Tim Boyle Abbott (NYSE:ABT) has launched a new nutritional product brand called Protality aimed at helping preserve muscle mass in people pursuing weight loss through GLP-1 drugs, surgery or calorie-restricted diets. The high protein shakes are designed to nourish muscles for up to seven hours after consumption.

蒂姆·博伊尔·雅培(纽约证券交易所代码:ABT)推出了一个新的营养产品品牌,名为Protility,旨在帮助通过GLP-1药物、手术或限制热量饮食减肥的人保持肌肉质量。这种高蛋白奶昔被设计用来在食用后7小时内滋养肌肉。

The product’s formulation is equivalent in nutrition to Abbott’s Ensure Max Protein drink, according to a company statement. Abbott said the brand is aimed particularly at overweight or obese people taking weight-loss drugs. During the company’s Q3 earnings call, Abbott management said it saw GLP-1 drugs creating an opportunity for its nutritional products.
