Medtronic Cardiac Surgery today announced the European launch of its Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) system called the VitalFlow™ system, a configurable one-system ECMO solution, built on simplicity and performance. The VitalFlow™ ECMO system bridges the gap between bedside care and intra-hospital transport, offering physicians and clinicians a simple, fully integrated ECMO portfolio,  purpose-built to meet the complex and evolving demands of modern intensive care units.

The user-friendly VitalFlow system features a large, intuitive touch screen that centralizes real-time performance data, offers configurability, and is built for acute cardiopulmonary needs and long-term performance, incorporating the previously launched Medtronic Nautilus™ ECMO oxygenator design.
