NEW YORK – UK-based lab automation firm Automata said on Thursday that it has closed a $45 million Series C funding round.

Dimension led the round, joined by Danaher Ventures, Tru Arrow Partners, Octopus Ventures, and Entrepreneurs First, among others. In a statement, Automata said it would use the funds to add customers, build the next version of its data and software platform, and expand operations around the world.
