ZhenTec Closed on Millions of Yuan Angel Round Financing, Led by Lenovo Capital

According to 36Kr, Xi 'an Zhentai Intelligent Technology Co. LTD（ZhenTec）, a medical company of brain-computer interface, officially announced the completion of its angel round financing of millions of yuan, which was invested exclusively by Lenovo Capital. This round of financing will be used to accelerate the development and team improvement of the brain-controlled intelligent rehabilitation robot system and promote the clinical application of relevant products.

Founded in 2018 in Xi 'an, ZhenTec focuses on the research and clinical application of the brain-controlled medical rehabilitation system. Currently, it has launched auxiliary interaction and rehabilitation treatment equipment for assisted walking, rehabilitation training, as well as testing products of human mental state and neurological diseases. ZhenTec is mainly aimed at patients with ALS, stroke, spinal cord injury and other neurological dysfunction.

ZhenTec independently developed a new mode of brain-controlled exercise rehabilitation based on visual induction, which applied the steady-state motion visual-induced EEG technology to design the exercise stimulation paradigm, and combined with VR movement scenes to form the active and passive rehabilitation training system. 

First of all, by watching the movement scene, patients can stimulate their own motor perception nerve, forming a "visual induction of motor thoughts". Then, with the help of the brain-machine interface, the rehabilitation robot drives the limb movement, combining central stimulation with peripheral feedback, namely "nerve bypass", so that the injured nerve can recover.

Relying on the EEG paradigm and algorithm independently developed by ZhenTec, the brainwave recognition accuracy can reach more than 90%.

In the future, ZhenTec will engage in the R&D of various brain-controlled VR/AR, BCI-AI education, brain-controlled exoskeleton robot operating system, and other technologies. In order to realize commercialization, the CEO Wang Haochong said, “In addition to the research and development of equipment, the company will also provide EEG hardware algorithms and system solutions for research institutions and other manufacturers.
