C-MER Eye Care Holding Limited (C-MER) has completed the acquisition of Shanghai Lushide Medical. Shanghai Lushide Medical will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
Shanghai Lushide Medical was founded on April 17, 2002, with a registered capital of 280.25 million yuan. The company operates an ophthalmic hospital in Huangpu District and three clinics in Pudong New District, Yangpu District and Putuo District.
C-MER used to be a professional ophthalmic hospital founded by doctor Dennis Lam (Chinese name: Lin Shunchao) in Hong Kong. It is one of the leading ophthalmic service providers in Hong Kong and Guangdong Province.
After this acquisition, C-MER will provide medical training to physicians and auxiliary medical workers and upgrade medical equipment so as to set up a comprehensive service network in Beijing, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Kunming, and Shanghai.
Ophthalmologists and physicians of C-MER are specialized in the fields of cataract, glaucoma, strabismus and refractive surgeries and external eye diseases. Through excimer laser, acupuncture and other medical technologies and methods, C-MER provides comprehensive eye examination and treatment for patients. In addition, C-MER follows the international trend in the treatment of congenital cataract, amblyopia, acute traumatic eye diseases.
The eye hospital operated by C-MER in Beijing has been established in 2018. Its fifth satellite clinic in Hong Kong has commenced business operations since March 2018 and its first satellite clinic in Shenzhen was established in November 2018. Other than Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, C-MER is going to expand the service network in Kunming and Shanghai by the acquisition of eye hospitals, and Huizhou by set up a new eye hospital in 2019.
