HealAI Snares ￥10M in Series A Round

According to 36Kr.com, HealAI has completed its series A financing of tens of million yuan with participation from Zhongshan Beisen Medical Industry Investment. Proceeds of this round will be used for clinical trials of HealAI's products, and the follow-up registration and approval.

HealAI closed its ￥6.45 million angel round of financing in November 2016, led by Skyview Fund and XY Venture Capital, with participation from PreIPO. After that, it completed ￥15 million Pre-A round of financing invested by GP Healthcare Capital in 2018.

Founded in 2016, HealAI uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help patients with mental disorders. The company provides diagnosis and treatment services based on AI screening tools. It has independently developed the "HealAI Cloud" system, which can conduct pre-diagnosis and screening for mental disorders, and doctors can make specific consultations based on the results. Meanwhile, the system can also estimate prognosis and provide treatment plans and medication advice.

Mental disorders are different from other diseases with clear biological markers for diagnosis, they are mainly diagnosed and treated through questionnaire and interview. The whole process is time-consuming and relies on doctors' experience. The key to the treatment of mental disorders is how to improve the efficiency and accuracy of clinical diagnosis. HealAI's goal is not only the initial screening, but also including auxiliary diagnosis, and even diagnosis and treatment. The company has a clear product matrix, including products of depression auxiliary diagnosis, bipolar disorder auxiliary diagnosis, near-infrared auxiliary diagnosis, psychological iCBT intervention, and so on, covering both adults and children from screening to intervention.
