Xinchen Wanyou Snags ￥10M from Foxconn

According to 36Kr.com, Beijing Xingchen Wanyou Technology Co., Ltd. ("Xinchen Wanyou"), a provider of medical solutions for prevention and control of myopia based on artificial intelligence (AI), has got an additional investment of nearly 10 million yuan from Foxconn Technology Group. This is the second round of investment by Foxconn Group in the company. The proceeds will be mainly used for the development of the AI-driven medical system and related medical devices for the prevention and control of myopia. Foxconn Group will also provide Xingchen Wanyou with global resources of research and development, supply chains, and production.

Xingchen Wanyou is a medical company focused on AI. It has built up a comprehensive system covering the process of "testing- monitoring- treatment", for prevention and control of myopia, including the early vision data acquisition system, real-time vision analysis system, and an overall scheme of eyesight exercise.

As Su Zhenyu, founder of Xingchen Wanyou, said, so far, Xingchen Wanyou has developed the second generation of AI-driven active medical system, which is based on the first-generation AI-assisted medical system. It realizes the independent operation of AI diagnosis and treatment thus can replace hospitals and doctors.

The core of this system is to make use of the IoT technology to connect existing ophthalmic diagnostic equipment for testing, optometry, eye axis, fundus photography and others, with the cloud database. At the same time of data analysis, it gives the ophthalmic diagnosis and the future development of myopia. The system can break through the limitation of physical space in traditional hospitals, and give the prediction, diagnosis, and intervention before myopia happens, instead of the traditional passive diagnosis and treatment after myopia occurs.

As Su Zhenyu said, the system can be applied outside traditional hospitals, such as in schools, families, optician shops, and medical institutions, and achieve the same effect as diagnosis and treatment in hospitals.
