According to VCBeat, Zhejiang Nuoerkang Neuroelectronic Polytron Technologies Inc. ("Nurotron") recently announced the completion of strategic financing, introducing GL Ventures and Super String Fund as the company's new shareholders.
Founded in 2006, Nurotron is a high-tech company committed to becoming the world's leading supplier of neuroelectronic medical devices. The company's headquarters and production base is located in Hangzhou, China, with its R&D center in California, USA. Since its establishment, Nurotron has explored deeply in the field of neuroelectronics and set up its development goal as "let the deaf hear, the blind see, and those who cannot stand stand".
The main products of Nurotron are devices of neuroelectronic stimulation. At present, it has formed an R&D pipeline with ear reconstruction products as the core, visual reconstruction products, and neuroregulatory stimulator as the auxiliary. Among them, cochlear implants are the core products for ear reconstruction and auditory brainstem implants and bone conduction hearing devices as the complement. Visual reconstruction products mostly consist of artificial retinas. The indications for neurostimulators focus on incontinence and Parkinson's disease.
