("Edge Medical"), a surgical robot developer, has closed a Series B financing round of nearly 600 million RMB, led by LYFE Capital and Kangji Medical. The new investors include Vertex Ventures China, BioTrack Capital and Alwin Capital that joined the existing group of 3H Health Investment and Guoce Investment, and Boli Capital.
Founded in Shenzhen on May 4, 2017, Edge Medical is a leading domestic manufacturer focusing on the R&D of surgical systems. The company is committed to bringing new-generation surgical robots with fully independent intellectual property rights into each surgical department. Through innovative robotic technology, Edge Medical makes the surgery much easier and improves the medical experience of patients.
At present, Edge Medical has three pipelines centered on robotics technology, including the most widely used porous laparoscopic surgical robot, the single-hole laparoscopic surgical robot representing the development direction of surgery, and ultra-high definition endoscope.
At present, porous laparoscopic surgical robot and the single-hole laparoscopic surgical robot have entered the clinical trials.
