JIANYIBAO Won $1.4M in Series A+ Financing Round

According to VCBeat, JIANYIBAO announced the closing of a Series A+ financing round of tens of millions of yuan (US$1.4 million), led by China Zhongji Investment Co., Ltd. ("China Zhongji Investment") with participation from Weilai Capital. Proceeds of this financing will be mainly used to improve the company's main business and connect with more patients in China. Previously, JIANYIBAO had received three rounds of financing from Puhua Capital, Baidu Venture Capital, and other institutions in less than two years.

Founded in 2017, JIANYIBAO is a medication guarantee service platform, which combines pharmacies, commercial insurance companies, service providers and pharmaceutical companies to provide medication guarantee schemes for chronic patients through regular insurance information such as ID numbers provided by users and to promote users' medication compliance and affordability.

Since its establishment, JIANYIBAO has launched several commercial insurance plans for specific patients, including "Xinyibao", "Xinnaoyibao" for patients with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high blood sugar, "Jielibao" for patients with multiple sclerosis, "Youjiaai" for cancer. 

Zhao Yangtong, a partner of Weilai Capital, said, "By redesigning the cooperation model among commercial insurance companies, industrial enterprises, and pharmacies, Jianyibao has competitive advantages by providing particular insurance products. In the development of China's consumer market, a large number of cross-industry institutions have accumulated a large number of customers. Insurance can improve user activity by providing additional rights and interests, strengthen user interaction and establish an effective right and interest system for users."
