Shenzhi Technology Snags ￥10M in Series A, Focusing on Artificial Intelligence in Ultrasound

According to 36Kr.com, Shanghai Shenzhi Information Technology Co., Ltd. ("Shenzhi Technology"), a company focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) in ultrasound imaging, has closed its Series A financing of tens of millions yuan from Shunyi Capital. Proceeds of this financing will be used to develop the core technology of Shenzhi Technology, expand the grassroots market for AI-driven ultrasound systems for diagnosis, and apply for certificates of AI products.

Shenzhi Technology was incubated by portable diagnostic ultrasound medical equipment provider Stork Healthcare and formally established in 2018. The company focuses on the intelligent diagnosis and AI applications with ultrasound and has formed more than 10 kinds of image databases covering over 30 diseases. Shenzhi Technology has also built a cloud-based ultrasound imaging center. Its AI-based ultrasound products have covered diseases of thyroid, breast, liver, carotid plaque, pelvic floor, orthopedics, and neurology.

Shenzhi Technology holds more than 50 domestic and foreign patents in ultrasonic hardware, artificial intelligence systems, chips, and cloud computing. They are able to realize dynamic ultrasound analysis. In addition, Shenzhi Technology has cooperated with many leading medical device manufacturers and completed the commercialization and industrialization of its ultrasound products.

The R&D team of Shenzhi Technology is led by doctors from Harvard University, MIT, Columbia University, University of California, Tsinghua University and others, gathering talents from various fields of artificial intelligence, ultrasound software and hardware, and medicine at home and abroad. Zhang Zhuo, one of the company's partner, graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, majoring in clinical medicine. He once worked as an ultrasound doctor and has more than 10 years of clinical experience in ultrasound imaging.
